Discover Stories That Will Inspire You
Fred has been involved with WTC for 20 years, participating in a range of different activities and programs. An artist at heart, Fred enjoys daily opportunities to be creative and do what he loves to do—whether that’s making mixed-media art for public display, learning to line dance with friends, or choir singing. He also enjoys spending time with his housemates and friends, no matter if it’s spent bowling a few frames or sharing a night out at the carnival.
Since he joined the Butte County community two decades ago, WTC has been delighted to provide Fred with the supervision and assistance he needs to lead a fulfilled, self-determined life.
The work and the care that WTC puts in makes the quality of life for our clients so much better and more fulfilling for them. WTC really empowers the people we serve.” ~ Shelby

Discover Stories That Will Inspire You
Since 2014, Chris’s journey with WTC has been one of growth and joy. Through WTC’s programs, he developed greater independence and found happiness in activities like playing Wii baseball and cheering on peers at the Sierra Center. He fondly recalls summer days filled with water balloon fights, park walks, and fair trips. Chris encourages others to aim high and believe in the power of effort—anything is possible.
Even during COVID, Chris stayed engaged through online classes and goal sessions. Now, as part of the Mosaic adult day program, he enjoys bowling, bingo, and creating art with friends. Chris values the motor skills development at Mosaic, where he feels stronger and more confident with the support of dedicated staff.
I think WTC is awesome because I get to go out with my friends, play different games and do art projects. I like getting out of the house, staying busy and trying new things and couldn’t do that without the services from WTC.” ~ Chris
